The Gold Seekers at the Palm Springs Festival.
The Paraguayan film Los buscadores (The Gold Seekers) travels to the US to participate in the New Voices New Visions category of The Palm Springs Film Festival.
The second production of the duet Maneglia-Schémbori, which arrives to the US under the title The Gold Seekers, will have three screenings at the Festival: Tuesday 9, at 10.00, at Camelot Theaters; on Friday the 12th, at 7:30 pm, and on Saturday the 13th, at 2:00 pm, in the Regal Cinemas.
The film, which closed the year with more than 137,000 tickets sold in Paraguay, became the second most watched paraguayan film in the history of Paraguayan cinema, behind 7 Cajas, the first film by the same directors, Juan Carlos Maneglia and Tana Schémbori.
Los Buscadores, also gathered more than 4,000 spectators in the film series for cities in the paraguayan country side.
A few years ago, the directors had already participated in the same festival in Palm Springs, with 7 Cajas, which at that time was also participating in the category New Visions, achieving a special mention.
