Visa requirements

TOURIST & BUSINESS VISA REQUIREMENTS

  • 1- Application form duly completed and signed by the applicant.
  • 2- Recent passport size photo 5x5. White background.
  • 3- Passport copy and submission of the original during the visa interview.
  • 4- Copy of residence visa and/or ID copy (the applicant must be resident in the following countries: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Sultanate of Oman. State of Kuwait, or Kingdom of Bahrain).
  • 5- Copy of visas to other countries. (example US or Schengen visa).
  • 6- Proof of adequate financial means (original Bank Statements of the last 6 months).
  • The Bank Statement should be on bank letterhead or photocopies with the original bank stamp.
  • Online Statements are not accepted. The bank account must be under the name of the applicant.
  • 7- Police Record Certificate translated into Spanish or English and attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country of residence and Embassy of Paraguay
  • 8- No Objection Letter or Job Certificate
  • It should mention:
  • Name and designation of the managerial signatory
  • Applicant’s monthly salary
  • Start of employment date.
  • Name and designation of the applicant
  • 9- Hotel confirmation & airlines tickets reservation
  • 10- International Health Insurance that covers COVID19 cases.
  • 11- Invitation Letter of the Paraguayan host along with a copy of his/her Paraguayan ID to the following authorities:
  • Embassy of Paraguay in Qatar - Consular Section.
  • Director of Passports and Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. (dpsc@mre.gov.py)

  • 12- A minor traveling under 18 years old accompanied or unaccompanied should have a consent letter signed by both parents before the Consul and a copy of the parent’s passports. A minor traveling with only one of the parents should have a consent letter signed by the other parent before the Consul and a copy of the parent’s passport. It must also be submitted copies of the following documents: minor's Birth Certificate duly legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country of residence, or a document of legal custody (if applicable).
  • Other documents may be required by the Directorate of Passport and Consular Service.
  • All the above-mentioned documents must be sent by email to embapar.qatar@mre.gov.py in JPG format and each file must be less than 1Mb. Please note PDF format will not be accepted.
  • The visa request process might take between 2 to 3 weeks and the Consular Section will settle an appointment to the applicants for the visa interview at the Embassy of Paraguay in Qatar or via Videoconference. Please note that the original documents must be submitted during the personal interview or must be sent by mail.
  • The validity of the visa to use for the first time is six (6) months from the date of issuance and the time frame to stay inside the country will be determined in the visa which could a maximum of 90 days.

  • CONSULAR FEES
  • Single entry visa: USD 65.
  • Multiple entries visa: USD 100.
  • Once the visa is granted, the interested party must complete the online traveler health form 24 hours before the trip on the following link: http://www.vigisalud.gov.py/webdgvs/views/paginas/vista_viajeros_nor.html

  • IMPORTANT NOTE: The Government of the Republic of Paraguay reserves the right to deny a visa application and is not obliged to disclose the reasons for the rejection. 30 days after the documentation has been delivered to the Paraguayan Ministry of Foreign Affairs without receiving a telephone notification, the application may be considered archived or rejected.
