Shipping documents

The set of commercial documents to be legalized must have the following:

• → Original and one copy of the commercial invoice.
• → Original and one copy of the bill of lading or airway bill.
• → Original and one copy of the certificate of origin.

The consular fee for the legalization of one set of commercial documents is USD 65.00.

Note: All invoices and certificates of origin must be certified by an officially authorized Chamber of Commerce. The Consulate does not issue certificates of origin.

Important: The Consulate legalizes documents signed before a public notary whose commission must be certified by a County Clerk and then by the Secretary of State. Documents issued by the Federal Government do not need to be certified by public notary or State Government.

All consular fees for the legalization of documents have to be paid in Money Order payable to the Consulate of Paraguay. Please remember: Cash, Debit Cards, and personal checks are not accepted.

• → Articles of incorporation of corporate entities - $ 165.00.
• → Original trademark and patents - $135.00.
• → Copy of trademark and patents - $ 45.00.
• → Original of authorizations to extent or renew trademarks and patents – $ 135.00.
• → Copy of authorizations to extent or renew trademarks and patents - $ 45.00.
• → Original of chemical formula for commercial purposes - $ 95.00.
• → Copy of chemical formula for commercial purposes - $ 45.00.
• → Other documents not mentioned in prior paragraphs - $ 55.00.
• → Birth, marriage, and death certificates - $ 30.00.
• → Police records - $ 35.00.
• → Life and residency certificate, travel document - $ 30.00.
• → High School transcript, diploma, or degree program - $ 25.00.
• → College transcript diploma and degree program - $ 35.00.
• → Elementary school transcript diploma or degree program – no charge.
• → Other documents not mentioned in prior paragraphs - $ 35.00.
• → General Power of Attorney - $ 115.00.
• → Special Power of Attorney - $ 95.00.
• → Affidavit or donation letter - $ 55.00.
